DMP-BD35
The Panasonic DMP-BD35 Blu-Ray DVD Player was launched in September 2008 and is the replacement for the popular DMP-BD30.
It has a slimmer chassis, almost a 1cm lower than the old Blu-Ray DVD Player and a massive 8cm less deep. The DMP-BD35 has Profile 2.0 and is therefore BD-Live compatible. This means you will be able to use the interactive features on the new DVDs which the older Profile 1.0 and 1.1 players cannot. Part of this new 2.0 profile means the Blu-Ray DVD Player has an Ethernet port to allow it to connect to the internet for both the interactive content and also software and firmware upgrades.
This time around there are no 5.1 analogue audio outputs which means that HD audio formats are only supported via HDMI. It's not a big problem for people with new AV equipment with HDMI inputs but might not be so good for people who used to process HD audio with analogue connections. However, the DMP-BD35 can now internally decode the new HD codecs, so HDMI connections will give you the full performance of the HD audio codecs, whether or not your AV can decode these.
The Panasonic DMP-BD35 outputs 1080p at 24fps which means so long as your TV can accept this from a Blu-Ray DVD Player then you will get the smoothest pictures available from a disc.
This Panasonic DMP-BD35 Blu-Ray Player is a worthy replacement to the DMP-BD30 and is definitely one of the new generation of Blu-Ray DVD Player which make investing in a stand-alone Blu-Ray DVD Player worthwhile.
