"I bought my BD-P1400 last week and set it up straight away. It looks great next to my samsung tv and by using the hdmi lead my set up only took 5 minutes. I believe samsung call it aninet or something like that. The BD-P1400 came up immediately to connect the leads together and make sure it was set to 720p or 1080i. The Blu-Ray DVD Player did take around 30 seconds to load up, but I watched BLOOD DIAMONDS and the picture was quailty. Then once I had connected up to my surround sound by optical lead, I could enjoy fantastic sound and picture from this Blu-Ray DVD Player. Even my old dvds look good! I've watched "I am Legend" and "Batman Begins" and they both look absolutely superb. There is a massive jump in the picture quality from standard DVD. I thought that the load time was quick for Bluray as well. "I recieved my BD-HP20 player today. The download and set-up was very easy. After I connected it up to my 42" samsung, the picture was fantastic. Then I hooked up to a yamaha amp and the sound was really awesome - full surround sound DTS all worked. This Blu-Ray DVD Player is great, it looks good and works well. All the functions work including the remote and the buttons. If you are thinking of buying a Blu-Ray DVD Player then this one is great, you can take my word for it, you cannot go wrong." "After a lot of thought and consideration I purchased the BDP-S300 from Sony. What a great choice I made! After connecting the Blu-Ray DVD Player up to my Sony Bravia high definition TV and home cinema system, I loaded up Casino Royale on Blu-Ray. The picture and the sound were both mind blowing. Ok, the start up is a little slow (around a minute), but the wait really is worth it. I also downloaded the new BDP-S300 firmware from the sony website and followed their instructions to perform the update. This was pretty easy and means it will be compatable for future BD-R Discs. Looks like I have backed a winner and I cannot wait to see all future films released for me to enjoy on this Blu-Ray DVD Player."
