BDP-S550

The BDP-S550 is described by Sony as the ultimate Blu-Ray DVD Player experience. It delivers the BD-Live and BD-Java firmware built-in and also bundles 1GB of inter changable USB storage for saving downloaded content from the internet.

The Blu-Ray DVD Player also supports DTS-HD Master Audio with 7.1-channel analogue audio out so it can be hooked direct to a legacy home cinema receiver without the need for HDMI cables running from and to the Blu-Ray DVD Player.

This Blu-Ray DVD Player uses Sony's XrossMediaBar interface and will sync up with all BRAVIA models. There is no word on the price of this BDP-S550 Blu-Ray DVD Player yet as it won't be available in the UK until the end of the year.
